Works the way you’re used to
Vignette is first and foremost a seamless replacement for the screenshot tool built into macOS. It keeps what’s best about it and refines the rest.
Your recent screenshots
Double-tap right Shift and the last ones you took slide in as cards at the edge of your screen, newest at the bottom. You can copy, draw on or delete any of them, or select several to copy or delete them together.
Quicker drawing
Click a card to draw on it. Draw a box or an arrow and start typing, and your note appears beside it. Arrows follow your hand, so they can curve around what’s in the way. A stroke that’s nearly straight comes out straight.
Stitch several into one
Select a few cards and press Stitch. It joins them into one image and numbers each piece. Claude shrinks large images before it reads them, so Stitch picks the layout that keeps the most detail.
Drag ’n drop
Drag a card from your recent screenshots into Claude Code, a chat or Finder, without opening your screenshots folder. Select several cards to drag them together. If you drew on a card, the image you drop has your drawing on it.
Faster, more natural agent collaboration
Draw on a screenshot and press Send. It goes straight to the Claude Code or Codex session you were just in. Your agent can draw on a screenshot too, in its own colour, and you can reply the same way.

- The stack opens without taking focus from the app you’re in. Close it and you’re right where you were.

- Cards fly into the editor and back on a spring. Interrupt one and it turns around in mid-air.

- A thin white edge keeps every mark visible on any screenshot, dark or light.

- Vignette keeps your drawing separate from the screenshot, so you can open it again and move, change or delete any mark.

- Select several cards and press Return. Copy or send one, and the next one opens.
